Born in Maó, Spain, Ona began her musical studies in Menorca before moving to Barcelona. After graduating at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, she won a scholarship to attend Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she obtained a MMus with Distinction. She is currently a scholar at the Royal College of Music, supported by the Frederick Cox Award, and Clarinet Professor at Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears.

After winning First Prize at Certamen Nacional Intercentros de Grado Superior 2004 (National Competition among all Graduated performers in Spain), Ona has appeared as a soloist with many prestigious orchestras such as Orquesta de Radiotelevisión Española, Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Sinfónica de Extremadura, Simfònica de les Illes Balears, Grupo Enigma-Zaragoza, Orquesta Ciudad de Elche, Orquestra de Cambra Illa de Menorca and Orquestra Nacional de Cambra d'Andorra.

She has also been a prizewinner in many competitions, including the Jeunesses Musicales Spain Woodwind National Competition and El Primer Palau International Competition.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Ona has been invited to perform throughout Spain, the UK and China. Her London appearances include venues such as Wigmore Hall, St John’s Smith Square, Barbican Hall, St Martin-in-the-field, Cadogan Hall, Glyndebourne Opera Festival and the National Gallery.

As an orchestral musician, Ona has played in the finest concert halls such as Carnegie Hall and Berlin Konzerthaus, with the leading conductors including George Pehlivanian, Lutz Köhler, Vassily Petrenko, Reinbert de Leeuw, Peter Rundel.

Ona has recently recorded a CD for Columna Música record label which includes the World Premiere Recording ‘Suite for solo clarinet’ by Michel Camilo.
