Louise Morgan is currently in her fourth year at the Guildhall. Most recently Louise was Principal Percussionist in Southbank Sinfonia’s performance of the War Requiem. She won the title of Jersey Young Musician of the Year 2005. She forms half of the Percussion Duo Helix with Catherine Ring, and together they have played at the BBC Proms, competed in International Competitions, and are the holders of the Chartered Surveyors Percussion Ensemble Prize 2009. Louise is a percussionist for Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Europa, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, and Ernest Reed symphony Orchestra. She is keenly interested in percussion from other cultures, particularly of Arabic origin, and studies with Tim Garside.
