David Josiah Moore has collaborated with Ben Gwalchmai and Luke Tracey to create Orbital Resonance.
David Josiah Moore (b.1980) has studied music at the Dana School of Music in Youngstown, Ohio as well as at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. With interests primarily centered on cross-arts exploration and fueled by a love of dance and the theatre, David, also a dancer and choreographer, finds his work often involving collaboration and dramatic themes.
Primary teachers have been Julian Philips, Richard Baker, and Edward J. Largent for Composition, Chris Krummel for trumpet, and Christine Cobb for modern dance. David has also taken seminars and masterclasses with notables such as Alexander Goehr, Julian Anderson, George Benjamin, Sarah Walker, and David Alberman.
Among others, David has had works performed at the Birtwistle Games Festival, What Strikes the Clocke event on 31 October 2004 (performed by Richard Benjafield, Stephan Gutman, and the Endymion Ensemble), and in the Barbican Center.
David is currently pursuing his doctoral studies in composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
