Thanks to meeting on the Voiceworks project, Antonia devises performance works as one half of duo Emma and Antonia, with performance writer Emma Bennett. In 2010 they were selected to write a piece for ‘Noisy Words,’ a script competition for Red Note Ensemble and Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh (Finding a Magnifying Glass). They have begun performing together and are currently creating a series of text- and sound-based works which explore similarities and differences between their disciplines and independent processes.
In 2011 Antonia founded a collaborative collective which aims to co-create a body of ambitious and cutting-edge interdisciplinary work. The first performance in The Encounter Series took place in August at Chisenhale Dance Space.
Antonia studied music composition at Victoria University of Wellington, receiving a First Class Honours degree with Distinction as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2006. In 2010, she graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a Masters of Music in Composition.
