Claire completed a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the Queensland Conservatorium, Australia. During her studies she was awarded; Academic Excellence 2008, The International Golden Key Honors society scholarship for Vocal Performance 2008, and the Penman Prize for Voices in Ensemble 2008. Claire was also awarded a Griffith University Grant for overseas study after being accepted to complete her final semester at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. In 2010 she completed a Diploma of Opera under tuition of Joseph Ward OBE at the Queensland Conservatorium. Recently, Claire won first prize in the Female Vocal section 17-25 years at the Sydney eisteddfod, and was then selected as one of eight finalists for the Joan Sutherland/Richard Bonynge vocal scholarship held in Sydney, July 2010 and 2011. Claire was awarded the Italian Francesco Castellano Postgraduate Prize, the Linda Edith Allen postgraduate prize and the inaugural Lyceum club prize in her final semester study at the Queensland conservatorium 2010. Claire was also a semi finalist in the prestigious Australian Singing Competition 2011.
During her studies Claire has performed in numerous operas including L'Enfant et les Sortilèges, 2006; Les Mamelles de Tirésias, 2006; L'Orfeo, 2007; Orfeo ed Euridice, 2007; and A Midsummer Night's Dream, 2008. She has also performed in many conservatorium opera scenes including the role of 'Gretel' in Hansel und Gretel 2009, and 'Cook' in Stravinsky's Le Rossignol, 2010. She was a chorus member of RNCM's production La Belle Helene in 2009 and a cover soloist. Claire also performed the title role in the Queensland Conservatorium's production of Massenet's Cendrillon, September 2010. Claire was a Developing artist at Opera Queensland, 2011 and is currently studying her Mmus in Vocal Performance at the Guildhall school of Music and Drama in London under tuition of Rudolf Piernay.
