Lucy Roberts graduated from Cambridge University in 2008 with a BA in Music, then completed a year on the 2008/2009 Monteverdi Choir Apprenticeship Scheme. She is now studying for a MMus Perf at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she is taught by Janice Chapman. Operatic roles include Servilia (Clemenza di Tito) and Venus (Venus and Adonis) for Hampstead Garden Opera; Dorabella (Così fan tutte) for Shadwell Opera; and Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Hansel (Hansel and Gretel) and Courtesan (Three Portraits of Nero) for Cambridge University Opera Society. Oratorio and concert solos include Couperin’s Quatre Versets for Sir John Eliot Gardiner in France, Mozart’s Missa brevis in C (St Mark’s, Primrose Hill), Iphis in Handel’s Jephtha (Haslingfield Choir), Allegri’s Miserere Meo (St John’s, Hampstead) and Bach’s St Matthew Passion (Great St Mary’s, Cambridge). Lucy has performed throughout the UK and Europe with the Monteverdi Choir, Tenebrae, The English Chamber Singers, The Choir of London, English Voices and The Blenheim Singers, and as a chorus member at Opera Holland Park and the Opéra Comique in Paris. She is delighted to be participating in the Wigmore Hall Voiceworks project.
