Donna Lennard grew up in Bedford and began singing lessons from the age of 15. She joined the Bedfordshire Youth Opera shortly afterwards and, 7 years later, had roles such as Cupid Semele, Lady Billows Albert Herring, Eurydice Orpheus in the Underworld, and the Queen of the Night The Magic Flute under her belt.
Outside of BYO, Donna has performed 6 further leading Mozart roles including Fiordiligi Cosi Fan Tutte, Susanna/Countess The Marriage of Figaro, and Pamina The Magic Flute with Opera Loki. She regularly performs with Luton-based a capella group Peculi8 and has been the Soprano soloist for Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle and Haydn’s St Nicholas Mass for a leading choir in Devon.
Donna commenced her studies in September at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama on the Artist Masters Course in Performance with Theresa Goble. Further plans include participating in a Schumann masterclass with Graham Johnson, and performing with singer-songwriter Johnny Parry and his Chamber Orchestra at the record launch of his new album in Germany at Christmas.
